Job vacancy Translator

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
o Translate financial documents, reports, statements, and other materials from one language to another while maintaining accuracy and consistency in terminology.
o Ensure that translated materials accurately convey the meaning of the original documents, with particular attention to financial terminology.
o Research and stay updated on accounting and auditing terminology in both languages, and develop and maintain a glossary of terms.
o Collaborate with auditors, accountants, and other professionals to clarify information and ensure accurate translation.
o Have a deep understanding of the cultural nuances of both languages to ensure accurate and culturally appropriate translations.
o Perform quality assurance checks on translated documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
o Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines and deliver high-quality translations in a timely manner.
o Stay updated on industry trends and developments in accounting and auditing to improve translation skills and knowledge.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
o Fluency in at least two languages (English and Khmer is minimum requirement), including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand complex financial terminology.
o Understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, auditing procedures, and relevant regulations in both languages.
o Ability to accurately translate financial documents while maintaining the original meaning, context, and tone.
o Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
o Skill in managing time effectively to meet deadlines for translation and interpretation tasks.
o Ability to research and stay updated on accounting and auditing terminology in both languages.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey financial information in both languages.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

o A bachelor’s degree in translation, languages, accounting, finance, or a related field.
o Previous experience in translation, especially in the field of accounting or finance, is often preferred.
o Proficiency in using computer software and translation tools.
