Job Presentation

We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position below:

Post Level: (salary level of this post based on the salary scale)

Duty Station: Siem Reap town (with occasional field travel to community)

Report to: Director

Position Summary

He/She will lead all fundraising and marketing initiatives for SPOONS Organization and its training café. This individual will maintain and create valuable donor relationships, ensure that we are meeting our monthly fundraising goals, and manage all sales & marketing efforts.

The Development Manager will also be expected to conduct periodic fundraising events in Siem Reap to maintain and generate local connections.

Duties

  • Planning & Management
  • Prepare a fundraising plan and follow up monthly
  • Prepare and implement an annual marketing plan
  • Prepare the annual budget for income forecast and marketing and follow up monthly
  • Assist on Grant research & proposals
  • Assist director to perform prospect research on foundations and corporations and evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants
  • Assist to conducting the full range of grant application activities: prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources
  • Check on progress of all grant proposals once submitted
  • Reporting & Donor Stewardship
  • Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors
  • Work with the finance, admin & program teams to gather information necessary to report to corporate/foundation funders on current grant programs
  • Track statistics relevant to grant reporting and donor stewardship (program outputs and outcomes, student survey results etc.)
  • Provide stewardship to current donors with regular written updates (newsletters etc.) to corporate and foundation donors
  • Maintain current donor relations while cultivating new ones
  • Other Fundraising tasks
  • Maintain current records in SPOONS’s fundraising database, including grant tracking and reporting
  • Update and prepare all written organizational materials (incl. annual report, fundraising campaigns etc.)
  • Host & engage visitors at SPOONS Café
  • Marketing
  • Supervise and update social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and website as needed
  • Prepare the quarterly newsletter outreach
  • Conduct events & initiatives to promote SPOONS Organization & Café as well as local fundraising events
  • Other
  • Assist SPOONS team members with other aspects of the organization as needed
  • Participate in SPOONS student events and activities when required

Requirements

  • Required profile
  • At least 2 years’ experience in NGOs, international development, or related field
  • Bachelor Degree required; Master Degree preferred
  • Experience with grant writing and fundraising essential
  • Experience living and working in a developing country
  • Experience in Cambodia or South East Asia is a plus
  • Fluent in English; Knowledge of Khmer is an asset
  • Essential Skills
  • Strong written communication skills in English
  • Ability to write clear, structured, articulate and persuasive proposals
  • Knowledge of fundraising information sources
  • Strong networker with the ability to personally connect with donors
