Tour Highlight
-Visit Srash Srong (Swimming Pool). The Srash Srong basin was dug earlier but owes its final layout to Jayavaraman VII, who remodelled the site, adding the jetty.
-Visit Prerub Temple and East Mebon. Pre Rub, the state-temple of Rajendravaraman II, was dedicated eight years after the East Mebon, the temple built by the same king at the centre of the east baray.
-Visit the Tasom Temple, is a small temple built by King Jayavaraman VII, at the end of the 12th century dedicated to his father.
- Visit Preah Khan Temple. In many ways Preah Khan is even more impressive than Taprohm, the other religious complex built by Jayavaraman VII, a few years earlier. Preah Khan offers some of the most beautiful devatas and pediments carved during his reign.
-Back for Lunch at famous Restaurant in Town.
-Visit Angkor Thom Temple, Jayavarman VII was crowned in 1181 after a resounding victory againt the Cham invaders. At some time during his reign he decided to fortify his capital city againt further attacks. The result was Angkor Thom, a walled city with a square layout covering a surface of nine square kilomettres. Surrounded by wide moats and a high laterite wall pieced by five imposing gates, Angkor Thom remained the capital of the kingdom until the first half of the 15th century.
