Job vacancy Headteacher

We are now looking for qualified candidate to fulfill the position below:

The headteacher will be an integral member of the senior leadership team as they implement strategic priorities set by the board members. Our headteacher takes on the dual role of academic team leader and class teacher for the lower elementary class.

Duties

• Design and implement a curriculum.
• Manage, guide, or train the teaching team.
• Design class schedules and teacher's lesson plan formats.
• Recruit expat teachers, teacher assistants, and students; design interview questions; design the school calendar; evaluate teachers' performance; design the report card format; design award certificates; plan events and give speeches; meet parents and address issues
• Design projects for lower elementary grades, post on the school's Facebook page twice per week, adjust or design the teaching staff schedule whenever needed, plan activities for upcoming projects or events according to subjects, and update the events list every year according to the school calendar.

Requirements

• Working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., with a 1-hour lunch break from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• Able to think strategically, tactically, and flexibly
• A creative problem solver
• A minimum bachelor's degree in education or a Montessori diploma is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of working experience
• A solid understanding of Montessori and other national and international curricular frameworks
• Proven excellence in curriculum leadership and development
• You must have a passion for extracurricular activities.
• Previous leadership experience is an advantage.
