Job vacancy Lab Supervisor

Teuk Saat 1001 is a NGO, established in 2007. Our main mission is to develop water kiosks in the rural communities to improve the access of safe drinking water in a sustainable manner. 

The role of Teuk Saat 1001, besides developing station, is to support the entrepreneurs by providing a range of services such as technical support, monthly water quality monitoring and personalized coaching.  

Today, through a network of 900 entrepreneurs, operating 300 stations, in 18 provinces, O-We (brand of Teuk Saat 1001) is serve 1 million beneficiaries, Including 376,000 Schoolchildren

Teuk Saat 1001  as the local partner of the French non-profit 1001fontaines. 1001fontaines is also active in Madagascar, Vietnam and Myanmar.

We are looking for qualified candidate to fill for the position below.

Department: Operation

Directly report to: Water Quality Manager

Duties

• Mission 1 : Management of lab officer
• Supervise directly a team of 4 lab officers and interns on daily activities to ensure procedures and protocols are respected
• Prepare monthly work plan, conduct weekly and monthly meetings in coordination with the WQ and technical manager
• Build the capacities and train the lab officers, to ensure the best performance,
• Verify the data recorded by the lab. officers monthly
• Perform all the HR and administrative tasks needed.
• Mission 2 : Laboratory management
• Inventory control to ensure that all labs are stocked with required chemical & consumable materials within allocated budget.
• Prepare the purchase request for laboratories equipment and reagents,
• Assist on the clients sample reception and facility with the client and keeping record and tracking.
• Mission 3 : Quality Control
• Ensure the operational and functional of laboratory testing service and continued lab equipment calibration and testing methodology is consistent with external lab.
• Round trip inspection for all the laboratories at each platform.
• Conduct the quality assurance and quality control of ongoing activity, health, and safety in the laboratory.
• Control the procedure, protocol, and document management for the laboratory.
• Inspect the material before the stock to ensure the quality for the water treatment system by following the approved standard specification.
• Lead the ISO 9001:2015 implementation, inspection, documentation, and document management.

• Support some research activities follow the assignation from Water Quality Manager.
• Other task assigned by Water Quality Manager.

Requirements

• Has background in chemistry, chemical and food science engineering, or related field.
• Has minimum 5 years of experience worked in the laboratory, accredited lab, ISO 9001:2015 or equivalence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (both in Khmer and English)
